Abhishek Bachchan and wife Aishwarya have turned down an offer to star in a remake of the 1973 classic Abhimaan. The original had featured Abhishek’s parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in the lead. Apparently, Abhishek and Aishwarya were approached with the film during the shooting of Guru. The offer would have invited comparisons between Abhi-Ash and Amitabh-Jaya — something Abhishek could do without. Moreover, both stars weren’t convinced of the script presented to them.
