Akshay Kumar to play the lead in Imtiaz Ali’s next project Superstar Akshay Kumar has been chosen by Imtiaz Ali of ‘Jab We Met’ fame for his upcoming project to be produced by Vipul Shah. The script and other important details are yet to be finalized but producer Vipul Shah has finalised the director and actor.Imtiaz who is currently working on a film that stars Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone will begin work on Vipul’s film once he is through with the Saif project. According to Imtiaz, the audience can expect yet another love story as that is what Imtiaz specialises in. Right now the film is in the pre-production stage and is expected to go on floor sometime end of this year. Vipul Shah and Akshay Kumar are known to share a great chemistry and after the success of films like Aankhen, Waqt and Namastey London it is only obvious to expect yet another box office hit. Akki has already made his mark by portraying action and comic roles, hence it will be certainly a breather for his fans to catch him in a romantic role. Do we hear hearts thumping already?
