Amisha Patel recently opted out of Priyadarshan’s latest film, Billo Barber which she had signed with much fanfare as she felt the size of the role wasn’t befitting her talent. The Shah Rukh Khan-Irrfan Khan starrer is a remake of the Malayalam film, Katha Parayumbol and revolves around a humble village Barber (Irrfan) and his superstar friend (SRK). Amisha was to play the barber’s wife. She felt that the film’s focus was the friendship between SRK and Irrfan’s characters. The latest rumour doing the rounds is that it was because of Aditya Chopra’s friendly advice that she backed out of the film. (more…)
