Sanjay Dutt is set to play the lead in a film based on the life of notorious criminal Charles Sobhraj. Titled Charles and I, it is the real life story of Sobhraj, a charming and manipulative convict, skilled at dodging the police. The movie will be directed by Prawaal Raman, who directed Darna Mana Hai. Speaking about the choice of Dutt for the lead role, Prawaal felt the film’s protagonist was is a complex character who could only be played by Dutt.
