That’s what 50 independent filmmakers will attempt to propagate at the Cannes festival this year.
If there is anyone who truly believe that Indian cinema is much more than Bollywood, it is these bunch of filmmakers. Almost 50 independent Indian filmmakers who are part of a larger organisation called Independent Indian Filmmakers Worldwide (IIFW) are heading to the Cannes Film Festival (May 16-27) in an attempt to familiarise filmmakers across the globe with the vast diaspora of Indian cinema of which Bollywood is only a part.
