Obesity kills over 160,000 US citizens annually. In just 25 years, the number of obese people in the US boomed from 15 % to 33 %. Oppositely, in 1980, 8% of the British women and 6% of men were entered in the obese category. By 2004, this percentage had increased to 24% for both sexes.
