Beckham himself admitted being shocked to see the intruder approaching him in the second half, with the Galaxy battling to hold a 3-1 lead.
“I was concerned when I first saw him because he didn’t have a smile on his face and he didn’t have a Galaxy shirt on. I didn’t know if he was going to give me a hug or something else,” British tabloid The Sun quoted him as saying.
"Luckily he just wanted to give me a high-five and that was the end of it,” the footballer added.
However, despite red cards sending two players off the field and the act of intrusion by a fan, Beckham’s team managed to achieve a 3-2 victory. (ANI)
