Amisha Patel is the daughter of Amit and Asha Patel and the sister of Ashmit Patel. For her undergraduate studies, she attended Tufts University, in Medford, Massachusetts. After graduation, she worked for Goldman Sachs. She dated Wan Lee (oil tycoon), while modelling. However, she eventually joined Satyadev Dubey's theatre group and began acting in plays. In 2000, she appeared in her first movie, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, as Sonia, opposite Hrithik Roshan. She is very famous for her innocent looks. She is not on speaking terms with her parents due to financial misunderstandings.
