Pooja Bhatt, born February 24, 1972, is an Indian film actress, producer and director. She is the daughter of Indian film director Mahesh Bhatt. She acted in many films which were produced and directed by her father. She made her acting debut in the 1989 film Daddy, in which she portrayed the role of a soul-searching teenage girl experiencing a difficult relationship with her father, played by actor Anupam Kher. Her most well-known films in the 1990s included Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin(1991)' which is believed to be a remake of the classic, oscar-winning, 1934 movie "It Happened One Night". She played the spoilt, rich daughter of a millionaire shipping tycoon (played by Anupam Kher), in Sadak she was cast opposite Sanjay Dutt (1991), Junoon (1992), Chaahat opposite Shah-rukh Khan (1996), Tamanna (1996) and Zakhm (1998). Her last film appearance was in Everybody Says I Am Fine in 2001. She has since turned to producing and directing. She started her directorial career with Paap in 2003 which starred John Abraham and Udita Goswami.

She married popular Channel V host Udham Singh, whose original name is Munish Makhija and owns a restaurant-bar in Goa.
