Indian actress Shilpa Shetty has accused a ‘lunatic fringe’ for triggering a controversy over the kissing episode, when actor Richard Gere kissed her repeatedly on-stage.

The actress, who is promoting her latest film in Australia, also blamed the media for being irresponsible and added that a celebrity has to pay the price for someone else’s negligence.
